Our most popular entry level trip, this is the perfect day of climbing for the majority of people. This day isn’t any harder than a 4-hour trip, but the extra 2 hours allow us the time to hike a little further and get a few more climbs in—usually enough to make sure everyone leaves tired.
If you have climbed in a gym before and are ready to make the move to climbing outdoors, this might be the perfect day, one you will never forget. We can easily add as much instruction as you can handle to fast-forward your climbing education. Please contact us if you have any questions.
We generally head to either Jurassic Park or the Thumb Open Space. When booking you can choose which sounds more fun or let us decide. Jurassic Park is a really cool climbing area on the summit of a small peak. It features around a hundred routes on granite from 5.4 to 5.12 in a gorgeous setting. The Thumb is Estes Park’s newest town park, opened in 2022. It also has about a hundred routes to choose from and a very rich climbing history and a layout that is perfect for groups with diverse climbing abilities. Both take 30-45 minutes to hike to after a short drive from our office.
