Sam Ridley

Sam grew up in the foothills of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, where he seized every opportunity to ski the slopes. But it wasn’t until he moved to the wheat fields of Walla Walla, Washington, that he discovered his true passion for climbing and backcountry skiing. Since then, he’s actively pursued steep ski lines in the Rockies, ascended iconic sandstone towers in the desert, tackled challenging ice climbs, and summited sweeping alpine peaks in the Cascades.

Beyond his personal adventures, Sam’s greatest joy comes from sharing his love of the outdoors while learning from and teaching others. With a degree in Education from Colorado State University, he blends his educational background with his passion for the mountains to help others achieve their goals.

Sam is currently working through the American Mountain Guide track, and is an
apprentice Rock, Ski, and Alpine Guide, a certified Single Pitch Instructor, and a
professional avalanche educator.
