Our guides work a more diverse range of guided activities than many guide services. We have beginner to advanced via ferratas, hiking, outdoor education/leadership courses, institutional and private rock guiding, as well as a really cool series of youth climbing camps. Most first year rock guides can expect to work about a third institutional (single pitch youth group) days, a third via ferrata, and a third private rock. Guides may be expected to work hiking and backpacking days as well. Beginning after their second full season, guides can receive AMGA tuition assistance as well as other meaningful benefits.

Our goal is to create a community of guide-educators that are equally psyched teaching mountain skills as they are for their days off exploring the mountains of the world. Mentorship in both is a guiding principal we take very seriously in both arenas.

KMAC Guides has been guiding and instructing rock climbing and adventure based education courses since 1987, primarily working with youth. KMAC Guides is an accredited member of the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) and provides private rock climbing instruction, guided ascents, climbing camps, and wilderness courses for public and private schools, throughout Colorado and Utah. KMAC Guides is based in Estes Park, Colorado.
