I have been using the Kent Mountain Adventure Company to lead backpacking trips for my students for 10 years. My students are in middle school and have little to no backpacking experience. The KMAC guides are the best. They are well prepared, work very well with both the boys and girls and safety is their main concern. After a couple of days in the backcountry the students are comfortable sleeping on the ground, getting water from streams and carrying everything on their backs. With KMAC it is not about “roughing it” it’s about learning to be comfortable and living with a “leave no trace” mind set. The students learn to work together to solve problems and come home more confident. I recommend KMAC to anyone planning an outdoor adventure.
